Bears on the Run Program Description: Bears on the Run meets once a week for one hour after school. There are no tryouts, no experience required, and no minimum ability level — students of every athletic background are welcome. Sessions are built around games, team relays, and goal setting. Students are placed on mixed-ability teams and track their progress against their own starting point rather than against each other. Walking is always allowed. The goal is simple: help students build a habit of moving, working together, and having fun while doing it. Fulton Musical Theatre: Matilda Jr. (4th-6th) Who can join? Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student who loves to sing, perform, and be part of something magical! Musical Theatre at Fulton Elementary is the perfect place for students who want to express themselves through acting, singing, and storytelling—all while working together as a team in this exciting club, students will explore what it means to be part of an ensemble, build confidence on stage, and grow their performance skills. This year, Musical Theatre will proudly present Matilda Jr.—a delightfully rebellious show filled with big magic, iconic characters, and unforgettable music! When do we meet? Rehearsals for Matilda Jr. will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:40–8:25 AM, beginning October 6th and continuing through February 24th. To use our time efficiently, not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal. Students will be scheduled based on the specific scenes and songs being rehearsed. A detailed calendar with dates, times, and cast requirements will be provided once roles are assigned. Please note that dates are subject to change (additional rehearsals). There will be no morning rehearsals on the following dates: November 11 & 25; December 22, 23, 29, & 30. Haley Drama Club 2026-2027: Little Mermaid Jr When? After School: 3:00 – 4:15 pm What days? Tuesdays, beginning Nov. through the end of third quarter (plus a few extra dates…refer to and KEEP the calendar) Where? Haley Elementary Room C-15 (Band room) How much does it cost? The cost is $200, payable online through the CUSD Community Education webpage. We cannot accept tax credit payments for this program. This cost includes all instruction, licensing fees, a script and t-shirt for each performer, and end-of-the-season celebration. If cost is a prohibiting factor, please contact Mrs. Abrahamson. Participants commit to the following: ** Students with a speaking role who do not attend 85% of rehearsals will be removed from their role and placed in ensemble. Their role will be given to another participant. **Students are expected to attend 80% of all rehearsals and ALL performances. If a child misses more than 80% of rehearsals or cannot attend ALL performances then student will be exited from Drama Club without a refund. The exception to this would be illness. ** Roles are decided by the drama club teachers and will not be changed. All roles are important and valued. If your child chooses to have a negative attitude towards their role, they will be placed in an ensemble and their role will be given to another student. If the child continues to have a negative attitude they will be exited from Drama Club with no refund. ** Students are required to purchase the expected costume for their part. Riggs Cross Country Club Students will build stamina and endurance as we teach them how to run long distances. Students will learn in-depth running mechanics, drills, interval training, strides, and how to properly warm-up and cool down. They will learn how to set goals for themselves and learn a variety of strategies on ways to improve their overall personal performance. Practices twice a week (Tues and Fri) in the morning before school. There are no penalizations if you miss a practice. This is a good way to prepare for the running club season which begins at the beginning of November.
