From Queen Creek, turn south onto Key Biscayne, then take your second left into the walled parking lot, then an immediate left into the north end of the lot. Please do not park in the south end of the lot (assigned student parking) or on the residential street west of the pool, you will be ticketed/towed. Cost: $30 per diver, up to 4 girls and 4 boys allowed per team. No admission fee for spectators. Schedule: This is a boys first year. I will provide a paper copy of each entry to make changes and sign at check-in. Sheets may not be changed after check-in signature. Each team is required to provide one judge for the meet – this is typically a coach. You may be asked to judge or assist with table work, and you will be needed for the entire meet regardless of whether your divers are cut. All entry forms must be submitted using CleanEntries.com. Instructions below. All entrants will dive the first 5 rounds (prelims), then the field will be cut for rounds #6-8 (semifinals), then another cut for rounds #9-11 (finals). The number of divers remaining after each cut will depend on the total number of entrants. I can give more specific info after all teams have registered. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each gender. Notes: An Athletic Trainer will be available at the pool, however teams need to bring their own supplies. Drinking water and injury ice will be available throughout the meet. Lunch will be provided for coaches and officials only. Teams are encouraged to bring their own shade. All teams must help with clean-up at the end of the meet. Limited spectator seating is available, however there is plenty of room to bring camp chairs. In this beginner-level magic class, students will explore the core principles of magic, including performance techniques and the art of misdirection. Throughout the course, students will practice their skills and prepare to showcase their newly learned tricks in a final magic performance. Jr. Crime Scene Detectives - Experience real-life application in Crime Scene Analysis. Become the center of the action as a CSI agent and conduct forensic science experiments. In the laboratory get ready to learn how to collect and perform analyses of evidence, record findings, and use critical thinking to find the culprit. Skateboarding Club: A time and space for first-time and experienced skateboarders to practice the skills of skateboarding while practicing the core characteristics of Push Forward’s SKATER Code: Safety, Kindness, Attitude, Teamwork, Expression, Respect. Rice Rhino Spirit Squad Program Description: Get ready to show your Rhino Spirit! The Rice Rhino Spirit Squad is a fun and energetic opportunity for K–3 students to learn the basics of cheer, dance, teamwork, and school spirit. Students will learn an exciting 2-minute cheer and dance routine that they will perform at the December 5th cheer competition. This is a special performance opportunity— not a competition team, so students will not compete against other teams. Riggs Cross Country Club Students will build stamina and endurance as we teach them how to run long distances. Students will learn in-depth running mechanics, drills, interval training, strides, and how to properly warm-up and cool down. They will learn how to set goals for themselves and learn a variety of strategies on ways to improve their overall personal performance. Practices twice a week (Tues and Fri) in the morning before school. There are no penalizations if you miss a practice. This is a good way to prepare for the running club season which begins at the beginning of November.
